Michael is a specialist in consumer goods, sports, automotive, digital and entertainment. He focuses on managerial and executive roles within Sales, Marketing and Communications. He has been recruiting in Japan since 2010 and prior to that spent 5 years in the media industry, handling digital media and acquisition marketing for sports content such as NBA, WWE and Serie A.
Over his career, Michael has been particularly successful with unique, hard-to-fill positions which require close partnership and a deep understanding of the clients’ business, regardless of the target industry and specific challenges.
Originally from Burnley in the U.K., Michael came to Tokyo in 2001 after graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Japanese & Management Studies from the University of Durham and is fluent in Japanese.
In his spare time, he loves to explore new restaurants in Tokyo’s vibrant dining scene, and to burn off the calories gained eating, he regularly participates in futsal, boxercise, snowboarding and in long walks with his dog.
