Media Streaming start-up in Japan

Drive business and growth expansion to scale a new EC streaming service line that promotes and powers thousands of businesses across Japan. You will be responsible for analyzing and improving the content and its quality, diversifying and generating new content genre and maximizing the customer experience. As the Director of Business Development you will largely plan and execute new business strategy, expand and manage a team and standardize the end-end process and flow of the service.

Over 10 years of experience in the IT or web industry
Concrete new business development or partnership experience
Background in business strategy, corporate planning or new business growth
Management of atleast 6 full-time employees
Ability to work cross-functionally and with internal and external stakeholders
Strong competency in negotiation, problem-solving, reasoning, discerning complex ideas in a fast-paced environment with both ambiguity and autonomy
Nurturing members to apply both practical, explicit and tacit knowledge to their work
Native or fluent Japanese (JLPT 1 with ability to contribute and communicate effectively in Japanese)
Currently based in Japan

Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management
Experience in solution sales
Business-level English (speaking, reading writing, listening)
