$multiB AUM APAC based L/S equities Hedge Fund - Finance and Operations Professional (CPA preferred)

The Fund is seeking is seeking a high caliber professional to join the Finance team as a Finance and Operations Professional

Established in late 2000s, our client is a multi$B AUM HK based Fund. The firm takes a long-term industrialist mindset in investing in companies that have superior business models, favorable growth prospects and the potential to take advantage of long-term positive structural dynamics of Asia countries and economies.

Responsibilities:
Assist the Finance Team for all financial aspects, including but not limited to:

-Liaise with external fund administrator and review monthly valuation for the managed funds.
-Maintain the group’s system of accounts and keep books and records on all group transactions and assets.
-Implement and maintain effective financial controls for the organization.
-Coordinate statutory audits with external auditors and prepare financial statements in accordance with the accounting standards.
-Liaise with external tax representatives for the preparation of tax returns.

Assist the Operations Team for all operational and trade support aspects for the managed funds, including but not limited to:
-Maintain the internal portfolio management system for trade record.
-Daily operational flows (e.g. cash and position reconciliation, validation and matching of trade confirmation, corporate action monitoring, download and review prime brokerage reports, etc).
-Prepare performance analysis for the managed funds.

Assist the Business Team for any ad-hoc projects.

Qualified candidate should have:

- A university or above degree in Finance or Accounting (Chartered Accountant is preferable).
- Minimum of 5 years experience in fund administration, financial institute, asset management firm or audit related to funds and asset management firms.
- Basic understanding of investment funds or asset management.
- Ability to work independently and manage his/her own tasks.
- Organized and attentive to details.
- Dynamic, diligent, flexible, thinks outside the box.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in English.
