Job Description

My client's business is growing in Japan. They currently have 70 people in Tokyo. They are a dynamic software company and will hire based on passion and culture fit. They are looking for people who are driven, willing to work in a startup environment. Last year, my client experienced a sales growth of 58% - this is amongst the highest growth of all US technology companies!
This position will be in charge of managing a team of Channel Sales. Key responsibilities include driving the overall Channel revenue generated from Value Added Resellers and Alliance. Leading a team of Partner and Sales Managers to drive Channel expansion and extend into new markets and territories.
The manager will work hand-in-hand with our marketing team and global partner staff on partner resources. This role is a high impact and plays an integral role in the success of the Channel strategy by working with some of largest strategic partners.

- Develop, execute and own VAR Channel strategies for the Annual Operating Plan in a specific assigned region. Responsibilities will also include planning and execution of Channel programs, partner measurement and success metrics, partner pricing schedules, and partner on-boarding and enablement.
- Channel Programs; drive the implementation of programs that account for geographical differences while also optimizing the mix across various target segments.
- Be accountable for results.
- Continue to build and evolve the organization from a structural and operational standpoint.
- Contribute to the overall strategic direction as a key member of the management team.
- Leadership and management of the Channel team including resource management, hiring, mentor-ship and performance management.

Requirements

- 5+ years of Channel management experience, focused on value Channels. Both indirect and direct sales experience is preferred. 3+ years in a people management role relating either to sales or Channel sales.
- You have a desire, even an obsession, to sell with and through partners and deeply understand partners business. Demonstrated ability to manage partner led software business
- Experience working in an enterprise technology company has experience working with SI and VAR partners. Preferable experience working with partners and customers.
- Exceptional leadership skills: a strong recruiter and motivator of people.
