Job description

Leads team in the development, implementation and execution of brand strategy, marketing mix, operational plans that optimize sales, market share and revenue growth for major and other brands in the short and long term.
Effectively manages both associates and non-management direct reports and provides leadership of marketing disease team

Major Responsibilities:
- Drives team to deliver marketing projects focusing on research and analysis to determine customer insights, then linking strategy to execution planning for the targeted and other brands in the Business Unit
- Builds the country brand vision, strategy, positioning, value proposition and strategic imperatives to achieve financial objectives and align company resources
- Assists Business Unit Head to lead commercial initiatives including Sales, Sales Planning, etc.
- Actively takes part in the BU leadership discussion as a Core member
- Leads the development of full-scale communication plans across the product life cycle, including partnering strategy.
- Acts as brand champion to create focus, alignment and enthusiasm both internally and with external customers and agencies.
- Ensures compliance with finance, budgeting practices and local regulations, and ensures appropriate management of resources.
- Manages associates to ensure effective performance and talent development to enhance team capabilities
- Takes Customer Interface role - understanding and knowledge of the disease area customers

Requirements

Education:
• A University level (bachelors) degree; Marketing, Business Administration, Clinical Research, or related field.
• MBA is a plus

Languages:
• Japanese: Fluent (mother tongue)
• English: Fluent

Experience/Professional requirement:
• 6–10 years’ marketing experience with focus on product/brand management including customer facing/sales experience
