Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
This critical position leads the one of the client brand’s communication area in Japan market. Its scope includes internal and external communications with PR and advertising expertise and experience especially leveraging digital media and digital communication tool as well as traditional media.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
 PR
Fully responsible for all PR scopes for brand, products and also the corporate if necessary. S/he should take a proactive leads, ownership and commitment for strategy building and execution with clear and measurable goals in order to maximize PR exposure and relevancy with market. Following areas are included.
 Brand / Cooperate
- Maximize global branding assets (seasonal runway show, designer, global ambassadors & celebrities and etc.) impact in Japan market
- Develop local initiatives and activities aiming at brand recognition increase and brand perception elevation
- Behave aggressively and appropriately as a brand PR represents both inside (Japan, APAC and global teams) and outside of company

- Runway collection
- WSW (TH collection, SPW, Tommy Jeans and others) & Accessories
- MSW (TH collection, SPW, Tailoring, Tommy Jeans and others) & Accessories
- Kids category
- Others
 Media Channels
- Consumer media: Digital, TV, Magazine, Newspaper
- Trade media : The same as above
- Business partner’s media (Department stores and malls’ media targeting their customers )
*Owned social media scope is now TBD in Marketing Division
 Influencers and Celebrities
- Direct and indirect negotiation and control of product placement and exposure
Direct and indirect negotiation and control of activities leveraging influencers and celebrities including global event, runway show invitation
 Events
- Organize seasonal press preview events (Retail Marketing team is handling event venue design and production with PR team direction)
- Any other media-related events
 Reports and budget control
- Track, prepare and share PR monthly reports for Japan internal use and APAC/global team use and ad-hoc PR reports if required
- Fully in charge of PR budget control

 PR agency handling
- Responsible for agency selection and timing decision to hire for limited period and purpose within allocated budget

 RR samples
- In charge of PR sample delivery, stock control, negotiation with APAC team for extra sample arrangement and budget control
 Advertising
In order to maximize advertising ROI, take a strong initiatives to build annual and seasonal strategies and brief agencies. And fully responsible for execution qualitative and quantitative control with flexibility and negotiation directly or indirectly
 Strategy building, advertising planning
- Build annual and seasonal media strategy and investment priority (target and product categories)aligned with both of global and local marketing strategies
- Develop annual and seasonal media plan prioritizing target reach efficiency

- Handling to keep cooperative relationship and necessary negotiation aiming at cost efficiency increase and delivery of brand-appropriate message
 Reports and budget control
- Prepare and share ad activity reports for Japan internal use and APAC/global team use and ad-hoc reports if required
- Fully in charge of advertising budget control
- Keep being updated about media environment and new media tools and share info with team
 Effect forecast and post-analysis
Always keep mindful of effectiveness and efficiency both of PR and advertising in terms of manpower and marketing budget
 PR
- Forecast PR exposure volume by season or by focused project and share with the exposure goals and results with team
- Be sure to do post-campaign exposure analysis and review with analysis
 Advertising
- Build media plan with quantitative effective POV as well as qualitative brand relevancy POV

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
 Experience:
- Already having had worked for the same category in apparel or fashion industries with media network for PR he/she has already owned
- Already having had adequate and competitive digital media PR and advertising experience and skillset
 Education:
- University and/or related degree.
 Skills:
- Japanese copy writing and proof skill (professional level)
- Have PC software skillset for Microsoft Office (power point, excel, outlook, word).
