Job Description

The Medical Affairs Sr Manager/Director (Hematology/Oncology) will provide scientific/medical leadership and support for a product in launch within a therapeutic area. This individual will be responsible for planning and executing the Global Medical Affairs Plan and Integrated Evidence Plan. He/she will lead the medical matrix team being the primary point of contact for medical stakeholders. He/she will serve as the disease/asset expert, take a leadership role for the execution of company sponsored global medical affairs trials and early access programs.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute medical strategy for the assigned product.
2. Develop and execute on the Global Medical Plan and Launch Plan.
• Create Medical Plan and execute in the assets such as medical advisory board meeting, publication, promotional documents review in collaboration with Therapeutic Area Medical Leads.
• Provide information on customer’s feedback on product development and life cycle strategies to related divisions/department in the company.
• Support promotional document review in collaboration with Therapeutic area Medical Lead
• Support medical/scientific education to MRs in disease areas.
3. Partner with Scientific Communications/Publications Team to develop publication strategy, gap analysis, key messages in coordination with the cross functional team and the medical matrix team.
• Establish a good and highly reliable relationship through non-promotional activities such as scientific exchanges (e.g. discussion using latest research papers and follow-up of contents of academic conference presentations) with domestic top-level medical KOLs in the assigned area.
• For creating Medical Plan, acquire extensive medical/pharmaceutical information and gather latest medical information in the assigned area.
4. Actively engage/interact with key stakeholders.
• Provide accurate, high-quality and unbiased information to important customers, stakeholders and medical staff.
• Medical & Scientific communication (Meet domestic KOLs and provide/exchange scientific information)

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Pharmacist, MS, MD, PhD) in life science
• Solid experience in medical affairs, clinical and/or translational research in hematology or oncology with 7 -10 years in academic medicine and/or industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to remain calm and positive under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• Matrix leadership of cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical skills and solid experience in translating medical/clinical information into medical affairs strategies.
