Develop a commercial strategic plan for business growth
Develop Pipeline and portfolio strategy and reach alignment with country, region and global team
Build and enhance the strategy development process to ensure consistency of excellence
Ensure the requirements for the successful development of assets for Japan are delivered by global and regional teams
Deliver strategies that reflect fact-based analysis of market trends; competitive data; technology advancements; and customer needs assessment and new product developments.
Deliver portfolio analysis and assessment of pipeline opportunities to ensure resources are focussed on greatest opportunity. Make recommendations of where to invest, and disinvest.
Ensure marketing plans deliver asset commercialisation opportunities which have the scale to deliver ambitious growth and revenue.
Drive alignment between global and local initiatives
Present asset strategy and/or business case(s) and robust plans to Japan Strategy Review Board, Japan Pharma Investment Board (PIB), Forecast Review committee (FRC) and senior leadership teams and gain buy in for recommendations

Requirements

Experience

Proven track record of commercialising medicines at a senior level, ideally including team leadership, in a country operational role and in above country role (regional or global)

Experience of leading the prelaunch, launch and post launch phase of commercialisation and evidence generation as part of life-cycle development

Strong leadership – proven track record of line and matrix leadership to deliver complex projects

Proven track record of developing teams and direct reports to deliver excellence

>8 years of experience in a Multinational Pharmaceutical company(ies).

Proven success leading strategic planning, growth initiatives, and/or operational enhancement engagements in Health Care.

The successful candidate must possess proven strategic, analytical skills and be an excellent broad-based business thinker who can collaborate effectively with peers as well as executive functional and senior business line leaders.
