Job Description

Our client, a tier-1 global pharma company has asked us to find the best Public Affairs leader to be the main point of contact between the company, government institutions and industry organizations.

You will be a champion for the company and the patient populations that it serves, ethically influencing for healthcare policy implementation at relevant regulatory and government agencies and institutions.

Main Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership in industry associations.
• Build necessary systems, processes, and capabilities to support influential messaging.
• Effective influencing for policy implementation.
• Build and nurture a strong team, ensuing alignment with shared vision and objectives.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to be a brand ambassador for the company.
• To uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity as an ambassador for the company.

Requirements

• Knowledge of policy-making mechanisms at MHLW, Cabinet Office, Prime Minister’s Office, Diet etc.
• An established network within the pharmaceuticals industry including industry organizations.
• An established network with political and administrative stakeholders.
• Experience in drafting policy recommendations.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• People management experience and proven leadership ability.
• Native level Japanese language is essential for this role.
• Experience in government affairs and pricing.
• Candidates from consulting or other industries with strong expertise are welcomed.
