Job description

This position is responsible for managing and developing boutique staff, increasing the customer service level, and achieving sales target, with the aim of growing the Company’s retail business.
This position has direct responsibility for the development of the department store business, including negotiations, and its results.
Retail Manager supervises several boutique managers (BM) directly and about 100-120 boutique staff under BM indirectly.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute business plans for the responsible boutiques
• Achieve annual sales targets of the responsible boutiques by ensuring execution of the boutique action plans
• Analyse monthly sales forecasts and provide direction to BM regarding the actions required for achieving the monthly sales target

• Build close and effective communication with BM and boutique staff in order to understand organisational issues of the responsible boutiques, individual employees’ concerns, their career desires, the work needs of the employees, training and development needs, etc. If any issues, work actively to settle the issues seeing them as opportunities for improvement.
• Develop BM and boutique staff through the performance management process by setting challenging goals, monitoring process and progress, providing timely feedback, and assessing and rewarding results appropriately. Also support BMs in their responsibility for boutique staff development
• Having a nose for talent, search and recruit good sales people in the market and conduct recruiting activities with HR for hiring the best boutique staff
• Effectively plan and manage the HR process for staff mobility (transfer, promotion, etc.) in collaboration with HR
• Take necessary actions to improve workplace environment of the responsible boutiques
• Provide support for the implementation of the customer service improvement programme (MCT) and take responsibility for increasing customer services level of the subordinates
• Promote actions for boutique staff development in collaboration with Training Department
• Liaise with HR and L&D to set development action plans

• Supervise BM in boutique operations, adhering to all Company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and also ensuring that they are communicated and implemented within the boutique.
• Provide support to BM for handling claims from customers and also deal with claims himself/herself if Retail Manager’s direct involvement is needed.
• Control expenses of the responsible boutiques effectively to meet the budget guidelines
• Control permanent excellent appearance of Boutiques

• Develop and implement business plans and sales strategy for the department store business that ensures achievement of the sales goals and profitability
• Directly contribute to the success of the High Jewellery fairs and other events in collaboration with the Event & Sales Promotion team.
• Meet regularly with the department store managers to negotiate about the trade terms, discuss about actions to enhance the visibility of the responsible boutiques, and get information about competitors and the market.
• Develop plans for new boutique opening, expansion of the existing boutiques, boutique renewal and relocation and propose to senior retail management.

• Liaise with DS Teams
• Connect with other Brands Teams
• Stay aware of Market trends and evolutions
• Liaise with both Network Intelligence and development Team as well as Retail Director to exchange relevant information
• Suggest Potential actions/decisions related to the evolution of the network

• Implement VIP treatment programs in collaboration with Marketing Department
• Leverage the customer database effectively in cooperation with CRM Department
• Participate in the cross-functional projects and contribute to their success

Requirements

Experience:
• 5-10 years of experience in sales management
• Retail experience, ideally in boutique (both street and department store) not only office
• Proven leadership and ability to drive retail sales teams
