Job Description

This role will be leading a new internal consulting division as a people manager for this major global pharma company based in Tokyo.

Responsibilities include:
• Drive strategic delivery plan for this division
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand the consulting opportunities and work to convert this into specific projects
• Develop consulting tools and methodologies for delivering consulting project opportunities
• Lead and drive major internal customer transformation programs and projects, including solution development and implementation
• Will involve regular travel to Novartis locations where full-time or part-time on-site project delivery is required for internal customers
• Line manage local consulting staff, as the team develops

Requirements

• 5-10 years or more of strategic consulting
• pharma experience and or knowledge is preferred, but not required
• Extensive experience leading significant operating model, business process and organizational change and/or process improvement consulting projects.
• Analytical, process-oriented and data driven mindset - Ability to manage multi-functional business change and to get straight to the heart of issues and provide insights.
• Ideally, having experience of these areas in regulated environments. This could include non-Life Sciences work (e.g. Banking).
• Experience, and proven ability to manage, team with and motivate stakeholders of widely varying backgrounds across a dispersed and matrixed organization.
• The person will have experience in leading multiple projects or large programs and the ability to develop, lead and manage program/project teams dealing with complex tasks.
• A proven change agent with significant project and program management experience, having successfully led complex, multi-functional projects in a large corporate environment
